' CIA Session, episode 9 '

They were all seated on the twenty fifth floor 
of the CIA Federal Building
situated next to the Pensylvania Avenue in Washington
The view of the capital from this floor
seemed to be fascinating
In this town like in not any other American town
one could smell history at every corner of it
Magnificent of course looked the White House 
with its grandiose fountain and the swans
but the buildings of Congress on Capital Hill 
were no less impressive
and the monument of Abraham Lincoln 
one of the founding fathers of America 
was a pride in every American heart

- ‘ I welcome you all here with pleasure, gentlemen ‘
David Harrows, the general director of the CIA said
He paused for a moment and looked into the eyes 
of every participant of the meeting
international one rather this time
He looked thus at Carl Lewis
who was responsible for the Washington area 
and partially for the spy affairs abroad
Harrold Montgomerry, the chief of CIA in California
Jack Foster, the boss of the New York section
Jonathan Fergusson, the FBI chief
Peter Debews, the one who was equipped to deal 
with the President’s team on behalf of the CIA 
at Ross Dowby and Edwin Drisch
two Australians special services agents 
and finally David Harrows looked yet insistently
at Patrick Waltersh, the boss of the MI6 section in London

- ‘ I have invited you here, gentlemen
because we have to take a number of decisions ‘
David Harrows decided to continue
- ‘ Firstly, I must share with you my observations 
on what the Soviets do and are expected to do
Their KGB agents are unusually active
Strangely, not only within our Western world
but also in remote places, as far even as in Burma
We have recently got news from our informant in Burma 
that a number of Russian KGB agents 
were murdered within the so-called Tandbodhay Temple 
in Monywa, nearby Mandalay 

One of the killed KGB agents was Sergiej Chatunov
a high ranking Russian KGB officer
We have already tried to catch him for some time
You will not believe me when I tell you now 
who killed him and the other KGB agents 
Are you ready? Well, the killer was Steven Mac Dantosch
the murderer whom Interpol tries to get
for the murder of his sister’s boyfriend
As you know he is the son of Joseph Burrows
the worldwide known businessman from Australia
associated now with our countryman Harry Gullivers
The other guy, Tadek Vangard is of importance to us
and we have already tried to reach him a number of times
because as you know he has the so-called strategy Beehive
which can humiliate the Soviets internationally 
if we get the strategy into our hands
There is something extremely important in that strategy
because the Soviets are really crazy 
about getting it back into their hands

I know from our Burmese informant 
that they are actually in Bangladesh
We will have to begin with new and fresh efforts 
of finding them and getting them into our hands
One of them, surely, will have to end up 
on the electrical chair, a justice will be done
We can do it because he is also American citizen
The other one will have to cooperate with us
if he does not want to find himself in jail
or just be deported into the Polish SB hands
Right now we treat him as a spy, someone
who must get yet deciphered
We have to have that strategy Beehive
I really feel strongly there is something 
of an uppermost importance in it
The Soviets wouldn’t be so active
feverishly active, I would emphasise yet again
if the strategy wouldn’t be so important ‘

Jack Foster exchanged his glances with Patrick Waltersh
He imagined his own face alternately 
once white as a shit of paper 
another time red as the stop lights 
of the traffic beneath on the Pensylvania Avenue
He was happy of one thing only at the moment
of the fact he managed to come for this meeting on time
on a last plane over Atlantic and with a sleepless night
He already stopped listening to David Harrows
too much preoccupied with his own problems
He would not like to be in his own skin 
if the silver haired David Harrows would ever discover 
that he was in fact a double agent
It would certainly be all-American shock

How many times in his New York office 
did he think whether it is right what he is doing
Certainly it was not right
However, he was an Irishman at heart
He hated America for doing nothing 
for his beloved Northern Ireland 
the one where his parents were born
He wanted Northern Ireland to be united with Ireland
America did nothing in this aspect
always arm in arm with the United Kingdom
but never ever with Ireland
Just because of it he hated this country
despite that it was his country
It was his deep secret, deepest ever

When sat alone in his monumental office in New York
he often looked at the breathtaking panorama of the City 
with its very many superstructures, the skyscrapers
including the Empire State Building
majestic towers of the World Trade Center 
the Rockefeller Center … Nothing but greediness …
In his mind the worldwide nature was raped 
on our very eyes, by the human activities
by the activities of the super rich 
by the corporations, whatever companies
the pure symbols of ruthless capitalism
He looked then at the far away Atlantic 
and saw it as a real Titan, one capable 
of turning this country into an endless water world
May only both Arctic and Antarctica melt down
and a doom scenario will be realized
He wanted then to open the window and shout
- ‘ What do you do, madmen ?! Don’t you see 
that if you destroy the nature
the formidable pillar of this planet
then everything will tumble down! Don’t you see it?! ‘

- ‘ Jack, what does happen with you ? 
You do not seem to listen to us ?
He suddenly heard. It was like icy shower on his face
He realised everybody looked at him.
He became confused, his face turned white
- ‘ Sorry, I had a sleepless night…Don’t bother, please ‘
He answered, but he knew he already caused 
some damage to his reputation
- ‘ By the way, gentlemen ‘ - David Harrows continued
- ‘ We’re working on development of SIM cards
which can be used against our enemies
against the Soviet Union primarily
The question only is how we can infiltrate 
the Soviet market with this sort of technology
We’re working close with the NSA
and some governmental operatives
in developing Internet technological advances
surpassing by far anything what so far was ever seen
Right now we have lots of secret programmes 
directed at the Soviet bloc
Let’s look at some of them
and let’s discuss other issues, gentlemen ‘

When the meeting was over 
David Harrows called him to himself. 
- ‘ You looked strange today, Jack ‘ - He said
- ‘ Is it from overwork ? Should we sent you some assistants ?
Or perhaps you need some weeks off ? ‘
Jack Foster realised fast what a danger hung in the air
He could in no way let anyone into his New York office
If it happened some evidence against him 
could rather be easily found
He began to play an actor. He was always good at this
At least so far. He just laughed
- ‘ Oh, David, if I were overworked as you suggest 
I would certainly had as silver-white hair on my head 
as you do have. ‘ - He joked
- ‘ On the contrary, I feel myself full of energy
like a thousand fish in the aquarium ‘ - He added
Both began to laugh, long and heartily 
If only David Harrows knew
he stood before as brilliant actor as was Marlon Brando
They said goodbye to each other
the way as only best friends do it
friends who served the best they could 
for their only country, the United States of America
