' Seven Heavens '
by Thaddeus Hutyra
Look at the lonely man at the seaside
standing in the waters of the Pacific Ocean
with hands brought up to the high sky
singing an elegy to a woman he loves
' Oh, darling, you were my Seven Heavens
at home, on our beloved planet Earth
and in the far away infinite Universe
You were my shining royal celestial dome
a pearl as sparkling as the Sun's rays
beaming at us from the very blue sky
You were my twilight rays at dawn and dusk
streaming through gaps in celestial clouds
and forming aureole crowning your head
You were a celestial sphere of outmost beauty
with air scattering blue sunlight through
bathing us both in our love's adventures
You were my only love greater than life
which one day disappeared behind the stars
far too far for me to reach you for now '
The man stopped singing and dropping a tear
he threw himself into the ocean waves
Nothing could be seen for a long while
as only rhythmic symphony of the ocean waves
