What have you done poor dogs
you, the best friends of humans
that normal seems to be some Asians
bring you to their slaughterhouses
as in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Koreas
or murder you viciously, unmercifully
for the so called ' impurity ' as in Iran
and other Muslim and Arab countries
and even are dropping you alive into a boiler
covered with scalding-hot, boiled water
as in China, Vietnam, South and North Korea
causing your hell alike innumerable sufferings
before you're finally being completely cooked
for the empty pleasure and taste seeking
mouths and stomachs of those people
with no mercy and thus no soul ?! ...
While they then consume the ' tasty ' meat
angels in heavens spit at them on and on ...
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!

What have you done elephants
being murdered by the poachers on a wide scale
to the degree you're endangered species
and your tusks are being used
for the malicious trade of elephant ivory ?
There was even a case 300 African elephants
in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe
were poisoned on the same day
to make way to the so called "great " profits
in the lucrative trade across Asia
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!

What have you done Rhinoceros
that you are killed by humans for your horns
used then, oh irony ! , for traditional medicine
ornamental luxury items and decoration
with no regard at all for the fact
your numbers are steadily declining
alongside the numbers of all other mammals
from tigers to lions for their bones and claws
to bald eagles for their heavenly feathers ?
Where's the humanity of those
who keep this planet at their mercy ?
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!

What have you done all of you dear animals
whether domestic or living in the wildlife
that your lives are being turned to pure hell
by those who consider themselves a human race ?
What have you done grizzly bears, mooses
bighorn ships, elks, mountain lions, eagles
raptors, rosy boas, rattlesnakes, Galápagos tortoises
beaded lizards, green iguanas, poison dart frogs
and freshwater turtles?
What have you done American black bears
slaughtered for your body parts
that are used for exotic foods, so called medicines
and as aphrodisiacs, arousing human sexualities?
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!

What have you done walruses
poached for the ivory of your tusks
white-tailed deers for antlers and meat
bobcats for your pelts, and bighorn sheeps as trophies ?
Redfish, shellfish, trouts and salmons
poached for meat, with no regard for anything ?
Snakes, spectacled caimans, Morelet's
and American crocodiles killed for your skins ?!
Sumatran tigers for your tiger genitals
culturally believed to improve virility
and your tiger eyes one doesn't know what's for ?
For the poachers to kill even greater numbers?
and for people in the business to keep blind
to what's happening, the disappearance of entire species ?!
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!

The list grows and grows, species are disappearing
in rapid numbers, biodiversity as much is poorer by the day
the global warming is rising up in the alarming tempo
and those calling themselves humans
are living in their paradise your hell
For how long yet, my dear animals ??
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!
With apologies, signed by one single poet

Dazed, stunned, flabbergasted, thunderstruck
are the angels sitting at heavens' stream
for humans are loosing their souls
in as alarming tempo as you, dear creatures
are disappearing from the face of the world
Oh, what have you done dear creatures
that the world martyrs you inhumanly ?!
